Ruby studied sculpture, worked at the BBC and took a foray into printmaking before embarking on a career in picture books. She tries to draw from life every day and her debut book, Animal Crackers was published in May 2023 by Rocket Bird Books. She is represented by Jodie Hodges at United Agents.
